Grand Rapids, Michigan is a city located in the state of Michigan. With a population of just under 200,000 residents, Grand Rapids is the second most populated city in the state. Grand Rapids is located along the Grand River, and is just 30 miles east of Lake Michigan.

The city of Grand Rapids also has many different cultural options. The neighborhood of Heritage Hill is one of the largest historic urban districts in the United States. In Heritage Hill, there are over 1,000 old and classic Victorian homes. The most famous of the Victorian Homes is the Meyer May House, which was made famous by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The Meyer May House, which was built in 1908, is now a popular museum.
Grand Rapids is also home to the Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, which combine to be over 125 acres. This park is full of botanical gardens and artwork that was provided by world class artists including Edgar Degas and Auguste Rodin. In the summer months, the park's theatre hosts many different concerts. Some of the previous performers at the garden have been Jonny Lang, B.B. King, and Lyle Lovett. The garden was even mentioned in the book "1000 Places to See Before you Die."
