This car was checked from front to back inside to outside by the Florida authorities then released to NASCAR.

NASCAR took it to Charlotte where it was checked by the NASCAR engineers and safety teams. After they finished their inspection it was released to Childress racing.

It was destroyed.

STP43FAN yes it was destroyed, but Richard Childress kept the drivers side sheet metal off the car. He also kept Dale's steering wheel and gear shifter, it's stored in his private collection which is not viewable to the public.
