Late John Micheal Hawthorn was a British race car driver. He was active in Formula One between 1952 and 1958. His first ever race was the 1952 Belgian GP and his last ever race was the 1958 Monaco GP. Incidentally he won the drivers world championship during his last season - 1958. He won a total of 3 races and finished on the podium 18 times in his career. In the year 1959, he died in a car accident while driving his road car.
