Jimmie Johnson won his first Nascar Cup Series race in his 13th career start.
Jimmie Johnson has won once at Bristol. Jimmie Johnson is not as good at short tracks as he is at long tracks. He has finished in the top 5 at Bristol 6 times and 11 times in the top 10. He is the best stock car driver in the world and I definitely have to say he is phenomenal in Nascar. He is the one that makes Nascar so good. If he wasn't racing, there wouldn't be history with 5 championships in a row.
I believe Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were better friends earlier in Jimmie's career. Jeff did encourage Jimmie to start driving full time in the Nascar Cup Series back in 2002 and is also a co-owner of the #48 car, along with Rick Hendrick. But as time passes and Jimmie keeps on winning more races and championships, you're starting to see Jeff's frustration mount more and more.
Jimmie Johnson will have to start a new streak. His five-year run ended in 2011, when Tony Stewart won the championship.
Most NASCAR drivers started running go-karts when they were five or six. If you can learn quick you should be able to start driving Bandoleros when you're 12 and make it to the show eventually.
The most important consideration in beginning a career as a NASCAR driver is to start early in life. Get familiar with race tracks and driving even before reaching the legal driving age. Also, fitness is a critical consideration, so an exercise program should be maintained.
The #4 was most recently and primarily used by Morgan-McClure Motorsports, who were/are based out of Abington, VA. They fielded cars for the likes of Ernie Irvan, Phil Parsons, Rick Wilson, Sterling Marlin and Bobby Hamilton amongst others. The #4 Morgan-McClure Chevrolet made one start in the 2009 Sprint Cup season, with Scott Wimmer piloting the car at Bristol.
