The brand of sunglasses, the famous gold shades, that Dale Earnhardt, Sr. wore for most of the end of his life was GARGOYLE. The original pair he wore were Gargoyle shooting/safety glasses. After a short time of wearing them, Gargoyle became an associate sponsor on the famous black #3 car, and a primary sponsor for Dale Earnhart, Jr.'s car #31 in the NASCAR EAST SERIES. He now has his own sunglass company and sports the "Little E Eyeware" sunglasses that you see him in today.
