And that's not to mention the untold millions he got for winning/ placing high enough in races to earn the points needed to achieve the point championship. That's the worth to the team who wins the Sprint cup.
As for the cup trophey itself, I imagine it's probably thousands of dollars worth of sterling silver, and a few thousand more for the services provided by Tiffany & Co. And if you were to come in possession of it, or a driver with one who fell on hard times, you may be able to fetch hundreds of thousand, if not millions on the black market. But it's likely it would be worth a trip to jail for a few years because of how high profile it is.
