A rule of thumb, and a "General" weight, (will differ between drivers) is from 3 to 4 lbs.

Many helmet manufacturers list their helmets weight in catalogs, or online so you get an idea of what it weighs before purchasing. However, most of the time, we've found that these weights are not 100% accurate. Some weigh their helmets without cheek pads or liners installed in the helmet and we feel this is a little misleading.
