Ok. The SB-2, is what they just quit running in NASCAR. (They just went to the RO7. Now, I know that drag racing, and circle track hardly ever cross paths, however, this is one time I would suggest that you cross over. All of GM's technology went into those for NASCAR purposes. And, Rick Hendrick, and Richard Childress, both have the best backing from GM, and both spend lots of money of R&D. And, since they are no longer running those heads, they may have some sitting around, that would be junk to them. They both sell race motors, as well. One of their race motors complete, would work great on a drag strip. I would also try to get an intake manifold, to match the heads. If that wont work for you, I would try to find a company called Airflow Research. I don't even know if they are still even around, but, they used to make the best heads, for small blocks. Personally, I run DART, or currently called World Products, I think. Those heads flow really good, even stock, so personally, I would not spend a ton of money on a set. There used to be a video on the net, with some guys, and a 5.3, in a pickup, with an added turbo, and a few other changes, but, basically stock motor. They have the truck on a dyno, and on film, with a stock motor, spin that thing over 7000rpms, and achieve OVER 600 hp. That tells me that there probably is not a whole lot of reworking needing to be done.
