In 1998 he won a total 8 out of the 16 races and finished first with 100 points, 14 ahead of Ferrari's Michael Schumacher. In 1999 he won 5 out of 16 races and finished first with 76 points ahead of Ferrari's Eddie Irvine who had 74 points.
Mika Hakkinen (born September 28, 1968 in Vantaa) is a former Finnish motor racing driver who was the Formula One world champion in 1998 and 1999. Hakkinen won 20 out of the 165 races in which he participated.
