I believe it would have been better. I think Dale Sr. was the only person who could speak to Junior the way he should be spoken to. That's with authority. I also believe Dale Sr. would have stopped the friction that formed between Dale Jr. and Theresa Earnhardt. Junior would still be driving for his father at DEI, carrying on the family name and running well. Being the team owner, his father would have seen to that.
