If you couldn't get hurt, then dirt biking wouldn't be fun anymore. My add to the previous reply... It is safe when a child races within his ability with proper training from a qualified individual. Racing in a competitive class as a novice is where I have seen most kids get hurt due to lack of experience and preparation. Too often a parent buys a 12 year old an 85cc bike and puts him in competition after only a few practices. That is scary.
Motorcross is dangerous period, but you can help reduce those dangerous by making sure who ever is racing knows the track and there bike, always besure to walk the track before you race and look for the minor bumps or dip ins that you might want to avoid and always be sure to wear all protective gear MX boots are also important
Yes, dirt bikes are dangerous. How dangerous? It depends on the type of riding you do, like desert, hill climbs, drags, racing, trails. Why is itdangerous? Because no matter what kind of riding you do anything can happen. Examples, you could come short on a jump, you could hit a rock in the desert, you can lose control. There are multiple things that can happen. Plus the skill level you ride at also depends on how dangerous it can be.Riding is a sport\hobby that takes a lot of focus, and being in physically good shape. Just cause a sport\hobbies is dangerous doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. One last thing the level of danger will only be as high as you make it in your ride. thank you for your time
Motocross can be dangerous if you have no idea what you are doing
if you know what you are doing then it is much safer but still dangerous
REMEMBER: Always wear your helmet when your on a bike!!
(No Pain No Game)
its not that the tracks are safe or not its how safe you ride the track
No, the boys will never be safe from themselves

My family has been racing motocross for almost 9 years now, and in those 9 years in the Atlantic motocross scene there has been one person killedAnswerMoto-cross racing is a very safe but dangerous sport. There are more people killed in car wrecks yet, there are alot of moto-cross wrecks. The top amount said is a little bit over a hundred year. That's not as many as there used to be though. Also, if you have the proper equitment you wont get hurt. Also, all those wrecks don't include the injuries. There are not as many injuries as there is wrecks.

It's important to support and validate the young boy's feelings and experiences. Encourage open communication and provide a safe space for him to explore and understand his identity. Consider seeking guidance from a mental health professional or LGBTQ+ resources for additional support and information.
My best friend's son started at the ripe old age of 3. He is now 18 racing a KTM 525. It doesn't matter what age they are, they need to be taught the basics, how to respect the bike and other riders and wear the proper protection.
Knowing all the rules is necessary for safety of yourself and other riders. Wearing all the appropriate gear such as jersey, pants. chest guard or roost deflector, boots, knee braces or shin guards, elbow guards, goggles, helmet, gloves, kidney belt. Riding in a safe manner while racing is also important. Constant bike maintenance is also necessary to keep the bike safe to race.
Bell helmets are very good, what I have worn for the last 30 years starting with the Moto 3 to my current Moto 7.
Yes! You are referring to Motocross helmets, correct? I am a motocross mother/wife and both of my sons and my husband use them. They are very supportive and stylish at the same time. :-) Also, even for bikes, scooters, skates, and roller blades, it keeps your skull and head safe from hard contact and reduces damage to you.
