Sixteen NASCAR tracks hold at least two races during the season. They are the Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Dover International Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Pocono Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway and Texas Motor Speedway.
There are multiple races held every year. The number has been steadily increasing over the past few years. There were 19 races in the 2010 season and 20 races in the 2011 season. The 2009 season had only 17 races. The number of tracks/races keeps changing every year.

In the past, formula one seasons were small with only 7 or 8 races but we have built it up over the years and over the past four years it has varied between 17 and 18 formula one races but in the future we may have even more as we get more tracks and countries joining formula one.

Cars can change their tires about four times per race. That is sixteen tires times 1,238 races adding up to a whooping 19,808 tires. That is just for the Sprint Cup.
