Chrysler used so many General Lee's that they almost made the '68 and '69 chargers extinct , most General Lee's were automatic.

30 Dodge Chargers where used in the making of the movie and nearly 300 where used in the making of the television series. 317 Chargers were used in the show, some being modified '68 & '70 models to look like '69's. At least 3 were used per episode. And 26 were used in the 2005 movie. Only 17 remain from the show, and a couple of them were used in the movie, they are still at the Warner Bros. Studios.
