what year was the Yamaha raptor 80 introduced?
my raptor 660 will top out at about 80MPH
A raptor 700 will go about 80-90 mph
the raptor 700r goes 75 to 80 mph.
I have the same problem with mine. 2003 raptor 80 with 40hrs on it!!
-48 mph
To set the timing on a Yamaha Raptor 700R, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder 1. Remove the timing cover and align the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft. Adjust the camshaft position if necessary, using a degree wheel or timing tool to ensure proper alignment. Finally, reassemble the cover and check for proper operation before starting the engine.
As far as I know there has never been a 180. For 09, Yamaha replaced the 80 Raptor with replaced a 90 and there is a 250, 350 and a 700 Raptor. See link below.
About 60-75 on mine maxed out!
25 to 30 mph
120 Compression.
The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) for the Yamaha Raptor 80 is located on the right hand side of the bike. The VIN is stamped into the lowest part of the frame just below the rear brake pedal.
