No one died with Davey Allison. Red Farmer was the only person on board with Davey at the time of the crash. Mr Farmer suffered only some broken bones and minor cuts. Mr Farmer who was a former driver stated that right before the crash he had braced himself which he feels saved his life, while Davey fought to gain control of the aircraft all the way until impact.

Yes he did. Davey Allison died on July 13, 1993, one day after sustaining serious head injuries from a helicopter crash. Davey was attempting to land in the infield area of the Talladega Superspeedway. He was 32 years old.
