my dad has an 01 cr250r and i have an 01 yz250. starting off with the cr, the motor is honestly one of the best motors you can throw in a frame but the 01 frame was horrible. it felt like Honda strapped a motor to a merry go round horse and sold it. the bike was horrible. on the other hand the yz's motor didnt have as hard of a " hit " but pulled better and harder through all gears and handled great. not a single flaw on the yamaha. Go yami or go home.
