For racing DEFINETLY these bike are THE BEST, they are ready to race. Another choice could be a rm 85 suzuki but you would have to spent alot of money to get the bike up to the ablity of the KTM. and if you spent this money on doing up the KTM and no one on the race track would have a chance. if you are considering buying a ktm 85 a good tuning part is the 33mm carb and upgraded induction kit which incudes v force reeds, Also a FMF fatty pipe and fmf powercore 2 would increase power silencer and get some twinair air filters and ozzo oversize water pumps. also ktm have a sxs cdi box which increase power and torque. All of these things should increase power highly but also if you want to jump some SHMX forks or BUD Suspension or full travel.
