On the right side of your cases (down around where the rear brake pedal is) there will be a window. Be sure to check it before you start your bike up, your oil level should be close to the center of that window when sitting level (not leaning on the kickstand).

The oil to gas ratio for a Suzuki DR 80 would be 1:32. This means that for every gallon of gas that is added, 4 oz. of oil must be added as well.
The 2001 Suzuki RM 80 typically requires about 0.8 liters (or approximately 27 ounces) of crankcase oil for a complete oil change. It's important to use a high-quality 2-stroke oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications for optimal performance. Always check the owner's manual for the most accurate and specific recommendations.

For a 1988 DS 80 the crankcase takes 650ml of 10 w 40 - a nice lady at a Suzuki dealer looked it up for me.
Yes, oil should be put in the crankcase on a 1989 Suzuki RM 250. The proper oil to use for this is a product made by Standard Oil called 80-90W Gear Oil.
