The ancient warriors mainly ate local food which was quite healthy and nutritious. Some of the components in their diet included wild meat, bread, fruits, nuts and anything else they found in the jungle.

Many of the ancient Greek warriors, especially the Spartans, were depended on locally grown foods for their diets. Their diets consisted of various types of meat and fish, honey, cheese, bread, milk, figs, and wine. They would also dine on various fruit that was easily grown in the Greek climate. The meat they would consume was both farm-grown (Goats and Sheep) but also meat they would find hunting, such as wild boar. The Greeks would eat healthy, and would not overindulge themselves, because to overindulge wouldn't be conducive to being the greatest warrior they could be.
