Riding on the pavement/sidewalk.
where a riding hat
you must be in control at all times, be aware of your surroundings, dont underestimate your horses instincts, dont over work the horse, watch for signs of soreness, dont canter on rocky roads or pavement without shoes (even with shoes its not too great for the horses feet)
protect your head with a riding hat
You can walk your horse on the pavement, it will not hurt it. Even if your horse does not wear shoes they can be safely walked on pavement. Just be careful that the horse does not slip if the pavement is wet or slippery and its not a good idea to trot or canter on pavement for very long of a distance.
Listen to your instructor, always wear a helmet, leave lots a space between your horse and other horses.
well it really depends on what type of horse riding catigory. Western, dressage ot English
Don't let the horse get away with disobeying you just because you don't want it mad at you. The horse will get over it and you will both have a stronger relationship than if you let the horse have the control.
