A Long-board, also known as a skateboard is transportable on American Airlines.

The longboard must be checked as baggage and is charged as either the First or Second bag rate, as applicable. This means, if you have no baggage, whatsoever, then the longboard will be considered as your 1 piece of checked baggage.

If your long-board is considered in excess of your allowable checked baggage, each board will be subject to the baggage charge for a single piece.

There are strict maximum weight and size restrictions. Those are, 50Lbs and 62 inches overall.
