I dont think there is an actual reason as to why the spotters wear tracksuits; but just like coaches they choose to. You will see many coaches wearing tracksuits although they are not doing any physical activity. I guess spotters also wear them for no reason. (: x
Spotters don't always wear tracksuits but they do wear sportswear which could be a tracksuit or a leotard and leggings etc. Spotters may have to move fast to catch a falling performer or push them back onto the bed which requires clothes that allow ease of movement. Also in the event that they have to catch someone or break their fall any buckles etc could cause injury. Most spotters are doing physical activity in that they are also coaching (which in the case of trampoling often does involves physical activity) or are waiting their turn on the trampoline and in a competition they might put a tracksuit over their leotard to keep warm, similar to footballers waiting on the bench.
