Paul Lawrie made a double eagle, the rarest shot in golf, in the final round of the British Open at Turnberry in Scotland in 2009. The former Open champion hit a 4-iron into the hole on the par-5 seventh. He made the turn in 31. It was the first double eagle - also known as an albatross - at the British Open since Gary Evans in the opening round at Royal Troon in 2004 on the fourth hole.
