In the 1950s, that was Lew Hoad. They won the Australian Open in 1953, French Open in 1953, Wimbledon in 1953 and 1956, and the U.S. Open in 1956. Later on he also won Grand Slam doubles titles with Fred Stolle (1969 U.S. Open, 1968 French Open) and Owen Davidson (1972 Australian Open). He and Rod Laver were the runners up in the 1973 U.S. Open Doubles Competition.
