The Masters is the first of four mens Professional Golf Majors each year. It differs from the other three as it is the only one to be held at the same course every year, Augusta National, Augusta Georgia. The course is a par 72 and is well known for it's tricky holes, fast greens, steep bunkers with brilliant white sand and water hazards. The most recognisable feature of the course is probably it's flowers which are in bloom the whole way through the tournament. It doesn't have a trophy, as the winner receives a green jacket. The winner also receives a life time exemption to the Masters, which is why you see some of the great champions of the game back every year.
The tournament began in 1934. Played each year at Augusta National, in Augusta, Georgia. The only major championship to be held at the same course every year. The course is famous for the breathtaking scenery, lightening fast greens and colorful flowers. The winner of The Masters receives a green jacket, and a life time exemption to the tournament, along with a healthy winners' cheque.
