300 is the highest you can bowl. the only reason it would be higher is if the person has handicap which would be added to the scratch score
A 300 game counts anytime you bowl it. However if it is not santioned you dont get all the perks and recognition. I know bowlers that average 150 that have bowled a 300 and bowlers with 200+ average that have not.
I am part of a bowling team and i dont know many people who have bowled a 300/perfect game. i do know a few good players though and i have seen people bowl 300. x

Tony Temple of Mizzou in 2008. He had over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns
Not sure about youngest competitor but he was just 14-years-old at the time and the youngest British person. No ... the youngest athlete at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing was swimmer Antoinette Guedia of Cameroon (born October 21, 1995) who was 12 years and 300 days old when she competed in women's 50 meter freestyle. She finished 83rd out of 90 contestants. Tom was in fact the youngest ever competitor to compete in an Olympics other than in swimming at Beijing.
In the United States, that is Fran Lasee who was 89 years old when he bowled a 300 game in January, 2010 at the Willow Creek Lanes in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Click on the 'Oldest US 300 Bowler" link below to read the story.
