The dowel is attached to the palm face adjacent the finger end, with the dowel axis transverse to the longitudinal axis, by a flap secured to the palm face by a first stitching passing through the flap and the palm face parallel to the dowel axis. A first portion of the flap extends from the first stitching to substantially surround the dowel, without intervening between the dowel and the first stitching, and is secured adjacent a free end thereof to the palm face by a second stitching passing through the free end and the palm face parallel to the first stitching.
