The car manufacturer that makes the MK5 Golf GTI is Volkswagen. The original version came out in 1976 and the current version sells for around $15,000.
Doesn't make sense. You can get an MK5 GTI golf. MK5 is the 5th generation of VK Golf. GTI is simply one of the models.
under the drivers wheel arch liner, why ?
The Golf GTI MK5 is a hatchback vehicle. It features a whooping 197 bhp 2 litre 4 cylinder engine, with turbo. It can get up to 145 mph and accelerates to 62 mph in 7.2 seconds.
There isn't one as such. You would have to disconnect it a little to drain it.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk5 is a car model by the German car manufacturer. The years of production of this model was from 2003-2009. It is also known as the Volkswagen Rabbit.
The short answer to your question is: Turbo. The GTI has a 1.8L turbocharger (for Mk4 and below) or a 2.0L for the Mk5 Golf. The turbocharger makes the engine significantly more powerful, but without more fuel consumption. So the GTI is more powerful than the other Golfs of same make (except the R32, which is a special model with a massive 3.2L engine). There are other differences between the standard Golf and the GTI, stuff like the GTI has stiffer suspension, lowered ride height, larger wheels, aerodynamic trim and spoilers, etc. All these are because the GTI is meant to be a performance Golf. My favourite feature is the retro red lining around the front grille of the Mk5 GTI. Note also that what we are calling the 'standard' Golf is in reality the rest of the Golf range, and we are comparing the rest of the range to the GTI. These vary from 1.4 to several diesel models up to the special-edition R32, which will definitely outdo the GTI in terms of performance.
Castrol Edge - this is the replacement for SLX ii - as described on the bottle. This is the oil to use for the longsife servicing option.
no the older mk5 didnt but the new ones do...
Twist and pull. It was easy in my MK5 TSI but you have the FSI. Pull off the engine cover. If needed you may need an oil wrench to pull it off. But make sure when you put it back on you only hand twist it.
what are positioning lights on vw golf mk4
The VW Golf MK5 is actually not a new car. It was first manufactured in 2003, and was available in the United States from 2006 where it was known as the VW Rabbit. Changes to the suspension system and careful tuning from the previous model meant that the Mk5 gave a very smooth ride.
