Gymnasts perform\compete at what is called a gymnastics meet, which is where gymnast in competitive gymnastics do a routine on every event (bars, beam, floor, and vault). Then once every gymnast has performed they have awards where gymnasts get placed by score in 1st through whatever place.

For a Regular gymnast in about level 10, it's about close to 20 hours a week. You would have to go to the gym about 4 times a day
