I believe BMX started in America in the 20th century. Down to a few people finding a few bike parts and building a fairly flimsy bike, light enough to do stunts on. Bike tricks have always been around it's just up to the time people have had the materials in mass quantaties to develope such good BMX's.
Bmxing started in Holland where children started playing similar bmx racing type games, (1950's). It was then made popular in the united states, callifornia, (1970s) where teenagers had a massive impact upon the sport, and bmxing as we know it kicked off from there.
It got it's start in the 1970's, somewhere in Southern California. It began when little kids started racing their bicycles on dirt tracks. Drawing inspiration from Motocross riders.
