∙ 14y agoFor a 7 minute mile you will average 1 minute and 45 seconds per lap on a 400 meter track (four laps), although keep in mind your first lap should be a bit faster and each subsequent lap will almost certainly be slower than the ones before it, so you should try to get around 1:35 on your first lap, maybe? It all depends on your running style. You would have to run an average of 8.57 mph over the entire mile.

∙ 14y agoprobably a for 4.3 or 4.4 40 yard dash
Really depends... the type of runner for the 40yd dash and 100m is different. A test you can do is to see if you go your top speed early or do you accelerate all the way to the finish line. The best way really is to test it out yourself. Usain Bolt probably wouldn't be able to run a 4.2 yd dash according to what he's done so far. He usually accelerates or can keep his top speed longer lasting than the others. So it's not something constant because there are a lot of variations between people. If you accelerate quickly, then >4.5, if not then 4.5<. These are just esimates and like I said before to just go and do it.

∙ 16y agoProportionally it would be about 11 seconds. But the forty yard dash is a sprint wherea the mile tests endurance. It would not be possible to determine one if you had the other.

∙ 14y agoTaking away the .10 reaction time player is covering 10 yds every 1.1 seconds. Since he is moving at max speed at the 40-50 yard distance we can subtract 1.1 from 5.6 = 4.6 in the 40 yd dash.

11.99 seconds because 100 yard dash is 91 meters. 100 meters/91 meters = 1.09 Then do 11 seconds x 1.09 = 11.99 seconds. If you round it, you basically be getting a 12 second 100 meter dash.

A 10 yard dash time is really not a good judge of your speed, the distance is too short. A 40 yard dash is what you need to get a good estimate of your abilities. but I'll give you time for both 40 yard dash-between 5-5.8 seconds 10 yard dash-between 1.3-1.5 seconds
