It completely depends on the gender of the runner and the age. If you are a female 14 year old I would expect you to get around the 14.5 seconds mark but if you are a 14 year old male the average would be about 13.2 seconds although many good runners at the age of 14 (such as my self) can reach the 9.8 second mark on a good day and with a bit of training. BUT REMEMBER don't worry about your time just worry about beating the people that you are running against and most importantly just have fun!!
Note: whoever wrote the above statement.....Usian Bolt holds the world record for 100m which is 9.58 seconds and the women's world record is 10.49.....unless you are an olympian, that is a complete lie. The statement below I agree with and is the average in reality. What most competitive high school boys get is around 12-13 seconds. I also see competitive high school girls get usually around 14-15 seconds.
9.1 seconds
wow that is fast but im 11 and i can run it in 13.36... and that is right after i got back from softball practice and i had allready been running for a while so i bet the fast for a 11 year old is like 13.0 but the question did say fastest ever so you are right(:
and im not even in cross country yet.

For a 12 year old boy, 6.82 seconds is the average time for a 40 yard dash. The fastest time posted is 6.13 seconds.
To convert a 40-yard dash time to miles per hour (mph), you need to first convert the distance to miles. There are 1,760 yards in a mile, so 40 yards is 40/1760 = 0.0227 miles. Next, you need to calculate the time it took to cover this distance. A 5.1-second 40-yard dash translates to 5.1/3600 = 0.00142 hours. Finally, divide the distance by the time to get the speed: 0.0227 miles / 0.00142 hours = 15.99 mph. Therefore, a 5.1-second 40-yard dash is equivalent to approximately 15.99 mph.
1 yard = 3 feet, so 120 inches = 1 yard (120/12 = 3)
40 yrds. equals 120 ft. divide 120 ft. by 5.8 sec. equals 20.69 fps. Multiply 3600 seconds in an hour by 20.69 fps. equals 74,484 ft per hr. Now divide 74,484 fph by 5280 ft in a mile. Your speed is 14.10 MPH.
1 yard = 3 ft., multiply 120 yds by 3 to find how many feet: 120 yds = 360 ft.
You divide 120... the number of feet in 40 yards... by the number of seconds taken to run that distance. Don't they teach basic dimensional analysis anymore?
There are 3 feet in one yard. Therefore, 120 yards is equal to 120 x 3 = 360 feet.
1 square yard = 9 square feet so 120 sq yds = 120*9 = 1080 sq ft.1 square yard = 9 square feet so 120 sq yds = 120*9 = 1080 sq ft.1 square yard = 9 square feet so 120 sq yds = 120*9 = 1080 sq ft.1 square yard = 9 square feet so 120 sq yds = 120*9 = 1080 sq ft.
By unit of length and distance and conversion ,we can say that 1 yard = 3 ft 40 yard =120 ft
There are 36 inches in a yard. The math works out to be 120 inches.
1 yard is 3 feet, so 120 yards would be 120*3=360
1 yard = 3 feet.120 feet = 3 x 120 = 360 feet.
