It takes him 3.93 sec. for him to get from home plate to first base.
Running from Home Plate to First Baseelite major league runners can do from 3.5 to 4.0. an average time would be anywhere from 4.3 to 5.3. i was personally timed the other day at a 3.7 but my best however is a 3.6. the fastest time ever "recoreded" was mickie mantle at 3.1s That may be the times for baseball.Colleges want less than 3 seconds home to first, the closer t 2.5 seconds the better. Keeping in mind the distance is 60' for softball, not 90'.
Yes, from the center of home plate to the center of first base.
Do running drills in general. The more running you do, the faster you will become. Also running stairs or hills will help you increase your speed. I was able to get from home to first in 2.65 seconds, and I did a lot of running drills with my teams. Do liners, shuffles, shuttle runs, and squats to increase your leg strength. Also make sure that you are hitting the inside corner of the bag with you left foot as you are running to shave off some time. Also practice so that you are not taking shuffle steps before you get to the base, this slows you down big-time. (My home-to-home time was 11.14 - these methods do work).
60ft.
if you get caught out if you are running from 1st to 2nd an 1st base puts their foot on the base while they have the ball and you are still running if you are running from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to home and they tag you with the ball if you hit 3 strikes ( sometimes fouls are counted as strikes)
When you hit the ball into fair territory or when a 3rd strike is dropped by the catcher. There's no other time a batter needs to run to first.
The distances between the plates are 90 feet. The distance between home plate and first base is 90 feet. First base to second base is 90 feet. Second base to third base is 90 feet. Third base to home plate is also 90 feet. Additionally, the distance between first and third base straight across is 127 feet.
90 feet
Who is running on the play? It always depends on which player it is...
