Ivan Lendl.
A difficult one. Lendl has the better record both in his own terms as well as against Mcenroe. Lendl worked harder, was more discplined, and seemed to want it more. but on sheer talent, Mcenroe was quite a bit ahead. Lendl needed to work for everything. For Mcenroe it came naturally. Maybe if Mcenroe had worked as hard on his game as Lendl, he would have had better results. But because he had so much talent, he tended sometimes to rest on his laurels. The verdict: Lendl the better player. Mcenroe the more talented player.
