Each hole is assigned a par, which is the amount of shots that it should take to complete the hole.

You can have a 3 different pars, 3,4 and 5 on the very rare occasion there may be a par 6. This in not likely on championship courses.

An Albatross ocucurs when a golfer takes 3 shots less than the par.

So in effect a par 3 cannot have an albatross scored on it as that would be a score of zero which isn't possible.

On a par 4 the player would only take one shot for the ball to end up in the hole.

On a par 5 the player takes only two shots to complete the hole.

Needless to say an Albatross is a rare score!

An albatross is a term for three under par and is also called a double eagle. There is currently no Golf term for a double albatross.

Albatross is just another word for a double eagle. This means that albatross, is a score of 3-under par on an individual hole.
