A game consists of a player winning 4 points. If a player wins all the points in a game, the scoring looks like this; 15, then 30, then 40, then game. So there are at least 6 games in a set. Then there are sometimes 2 sometimes 3 sometimes 4 sets in a match. So, a player who played a perfect 3 set match with no points won by his opponent, would win a total of 72 points.

You first play points, with the servers score first...

It goes 15, 30, 40 and game

e.g. 15-0 or 40-15

When someone wins either 4 or 6 games (depending on what rules you are playing by), you gain a set.

You carry on playing as before until someone gains 2 sets and then wins the match...

"Game, set, and match" is the term for the final point scored in a tennis match. It's effectively a shorthand for saying "that point ends the game, that game ends the set, and that set ends the match."
