Drivers come in numerous lofts, they can range from as little as 7.5o, to as much as 16o. Beginners and high handicappers tend to use lofts from around 10.5 to 13 or so, whereas most amateurs use drivers with 9-10.5o. Professional golfers can use as low as 7 but mostly use drivers ranging from 7-9. Professional long drivers have used drivers with 4o. The loft of any driver is usually on the sole of the club, but beware, the stated loft is not always the actual playing loft.

The higher the degree of loft gives a higher initial launch angle. 8.5 would be low and good for an experienced player. 15 is high would be good for a beginner.
