Oh, In gymnastics you get anything a sport could teach you. You earn confidence, self esteem, grace, strength, poise, and discipline.
But, you cannot expect to learn about all those thing on your first day of lessons. I've been in gymnastics for almost 7 years, and every workout I'm getting more of each. (especially discipline!)
As you get higher in the levels, this things increase!
Cons of gymnastics:
Gymnasts get big thighs
It is VERY time consuming and takes away your personal life. (Mostly in competitive levels!)
You could, but if I were you I would go to your local gymnastics place/gym and ask a manager or someone at a front desk to get details about learning gymnastics.
It is a good idea to teach pupils as they are learning gymnastics the importance of staying focused, and the importance of eating healthy. As a gymnast progresses, a steady mind that can focus will be vital, and a healthy diet will keep the body strong and balanced. Gymnastics is both physical and mental, so learning these two tools at a young as can help aid a pupil through their gymnastics journey.
Carly started gymnastics after her cousins birthday party at a local gym, and a coach there thought that Carly should give gymnastics a try, and she did.
