Timekeepers keep the time of a speech in a debate.
eg. My debate speech's maximum amount of time in 3 minuets and 30 seconds.
the timekeeper will keep the time and when it gets to 3 minuets your timekeeper will ring a warning bell at 3 minuets and the bell to stop at 3 minuets and 30 seconds.
the time and warning bell will vary

Usually when thinking about timekeepers for competitions, Omega comes to mind: they were the official timekeepers for competitions such as the Olympics, and their ads usually involve fighter pilots, divers, or other athletes. Aesthetically, the watches themselves are usually high class, as seen by endorsements from actors such as Daniel Craig, who plays the most recent James Bond.
Sundials can be found all over the world. Sundials have a long history and are amongst the earliest forms of timekeepers. They have the advantage of requiring no mechanial parts or maintenance- but the obvious disadvantage of only working on a sunny day.
I have never found them to be tardy or inconsiderate in any way. Perhaps it's your choice of friends. Either way, you cannot possibly make such a broad generalization about one National group.Or any large group for that matter .
Pendulum clocks are accurate timekeepers due to the periodic motion of the pendulum, which helps regulate the movement of the clock's gears. They are also relatively simple in design, making them reliable and easy to maintain. Additionally, pendulum clocks are energy-efficient as they require minimal power to function.
This is not true. Roberto Luongo was the captain of the Canucks for two seasons. However he was not allowed to wear the C on his jersey, nor cross the blue line to discuss calls with the officials. The role of the Captain, apart from the obvious ones, like pumping up the team, or having the most experience, best player etc. Is that the Captain (And Assistant Captains) are the only ones who can approach and talk to the referee after a stoppage of play. (Most likely to question a call, call a time out, ask for a review of a goal etc.) The Captain must stand outside of a painted half-circle in front of the timekeepers box to ask these questions. The timekeepers box is almost always at the center ice line. Here's where it gets stupid. The rule is, that the Goalie, after a stoppage of play, should not cross the blue line of his own end, except to get equipment repairs or a shot of water at his own bench. This eliminates his ability to go over to the timekeepers bench to ask questions of the referee. This rule is hardly enforced anymore, but it's there. Hence, the Goalie is hardly adequate to fulfill his duties as an on-ice Captain.
A quartz clock operates based on the piezoelectric properties of quartz crystal. When an electric current is passed through the crystal, it vibrates at a precise frequency, which is used to regulate the timekeeping mechanism of the clock by counting the vibrations. This high frequency and stability of quartz crystals make them accurate timekeepers in clocks and watches.
"Kettle" is also known as a "wrist watch" in slang terminology typically used in prisons. This term is used to refer to the timekeeping duties assigned to inmates within correctional facilities. It is called a wrist watch because the inmates responsible for monitoring time would essentially act as human timekeepers, much like watches worn on the wrist.
