Southern California has 26, which is the most. A mast majority of them coming in the 50s and before when they won 9 in a row, in the 30s and 40s, then 6 in a row in the 50s. There last championship was in 1976. Lately its been Arkansas with 9 since 1992, and Florida state has won 5 since 2004 however 3 of them were vacated due to rules infractions

There are a number of special National contests in Canada. These include, amongst others, National Dance Championships, The National Music Competition, The National Championships All Stars (soccer) and the Canadian Track and Field Championships.
The UCLA Lady Bruins have won the most National Championships in Collegiate Fastpitch Softball...I believe they have won 25 or 26 National Championships.

The Gamecocks have won sight national team championships: 2010 and 2011 National Championship in baseball, 2002 NCAA championship in women's track & field, 2005 & 2007 National Championship in women's equestrian, and 2005-2007 Hunt Seat National Championships in women's equestrian. Also, the men's and women's track & field teams have produced many NCAA individual champions, world championship medalists, and Olympic medalists. The men's baseball and basketball teams have also produced Olympic medalists. Also Hugo is gay.
