Twist your elbow to the right or left, depending upon whether your right or left handed (a righty twists elbow to right, left to left). Turn the racquet so that the strings are pointed upwards, but slightly at an angle. The birdie will hit off it gently, and with proper tilt will drop right over the net.
Drop shots are used mostly when your opponent(s) is farther into the court(exception for doubles)and you know that he/she cannot receive it, and even if he does, it would likely be a bad return.Which is best countered with a net kill. When you play a drop shot on your opponent, make sure it is very tight to the net, if not, it may make your opponent(s) to make a net kill. But of course, the one of the main things you should never forget in Badminton is deception, make it look like a clear or a smash, then at the last moment, perform a drop shot, deceiving your opponent.
Hope it helps
No because all you are doing is letting go of a shuttlecock ad hitting it with a badminton bat
clear, drop shot, net shot, smash
A forehand shot.
smash,rally expedile,high clear,drop shot
over head clear drop shot smash under head clear
The smash- fast, downward hit onto opponent's side. Forehand- A standard motion of badminton. Usually over your head. Clear- A far shot to the back of your opponent's court. Usually followed by a drop shot.
This is a delicate and fast smash shot, being played to force the opponent to move to the front court, so that the mid court and the back court remain free to drop the shuttlecock.
an overarm shot
A forehand shot in Badminton is where the shuttlecock is hit forward with the racquet without crossing the upper body as in a backhand shot.
Clear- Far shot to force the player to the back of the net. Smash- Fast, downward shot. Usually involves jumping into the air. Overhand- A simple, forward movement of the racket over your head to hit the birdie. Backhand- Self-explanatory. Drop Shot- Usually done after a clear, where you tap the birdie just over the net.
Deceptive shot.
