There are many different types of woods. Obviously there is the driver, the loft ranges from about 7.5-13 degrees. 3 wood- 15, 4 wood- 17, 5 wood- 19, 7 wood-21 9 wood-23, 11 wood- 25 and 13 wood around 27. It is possible that you can get variations on these from different manufacturers, and you can also get stronger or weaker degrees depending on your preference.

Degrees measure the face's loft, or its angle relative to vertical. Higher lofted clubs hit the ball higher and shorter; lower lofted clubs hit it lower and longer. Wedges typically have between 52 and 64 degrees of loft; drivers usually have around 9 or 10.
