Soy is a good source of protein and will help to build muscle however, there are better types of protein out there that will get you better results.

Just to quickly explain what I mean foods are basically given a biological value. This value represents how much of the actual food can be digested and used by our bodies, the higher the number the more our bodies can get out of the food.

In the case of the different proteins Whey protein BV=104-160, Egg Protein BV=100, Milk BV=90 Soy BV=74

As you can see soy protein has one of the lowest Biological Values and therefore would not be the best choice to get most of your protein from this source especially after a workout when your body needs good quality easily digestible protein.

Basically put soy protein will help provide your body with the building blocks it needs to build muscle however it is not as easily digestible by the body and should not be your primary source of protein.
