Is mongoose a good brand of bmx?

It's ok I have one. The only problem is that it's kinda heavy so I suggest you use it for vert rather then street. But otherwhise really, really exilent!!!! I love mine but the brakes suck like a vacume!!!!!!

No Mongoose Bikes are made very cheap and are not good at all. I ride BMX and am sponsored by a few companies such as coalition. If You Want A GOOD bike go to an authorized bike shop and get eastern bikes, oddysey bikes, animal bikes, fit bikes, Sunday bikes, demolition bikes, bully bikes, coalition bikes, shadow conspiracy bikes, and brands like that for parts, and build a custom bike with a trained pro. it might run u up over a thousand dollars though but its worth it. ive got one 2,384$

Mongoose makes a full line of bicycles. Although they've expanded considerably into the low end bicycle market since their aquisition by Pacific Cycles, putting cheaper Mongoose branded bikes in stores like Walmart and Target, you can still get high end Mongoose bicycles at bicycle shops.

yeah. mongoose has two sectors. one makes crappy bikes that are sold at walmart, target, meijer, etc. but the other sector makes pro bikes that are just about as good as cult, united, and stolen.

All mongoose bmx are horrible! if you are looking for a good bmx bike look at Fit, kink, haro bmx bikes.

If you want to buy a Mongoose bicycle, make sure you find a good place that offers them and they are a pretty good brand as long as they don't get rusty from wet weather.
