It depends on a lot of things. If you want to be a serious tennis player then its going to cost some money. You need at least 2 good racquets priced from like 130 to 200 dollars. Then depending on where you live and if you have a coach, so i will assume you live in snowy winters and no personal coach. you will need to buy like 250 new tennis balls and a ball machine, so that will cost quite a bit but you can probably find a used ball machine on eBay I don't know, and you will have to get good tennis shoes and an indoor place in the winter to play which costs anything from 20 to 40 dollars per hour. So yes, playing tennis is pretty expensive but its worth it if you ask me.
