To obtain a U.K. golf handicap, you must first join a golf club affiliated with the England Golf, Golf Scotland, or the Golf Union of Wales. After becoming a member, you'll need to submit scores from a minimum of three rounds of golf played under standard conditions. Your club will then calculate your initial handicap index based on these scores, which can be updated as you play more rounds and submit additional scores.
