Be explosive out of the blocks, keep your head down and stay low (this is called your drive phase) for the first 20-30 meters, stay relaxed, pick your head up and finish. The race is over before you know it so it is critical to stay low and drive because if you pick your head up and you see a lot of backs, you make it harder on yourself to win that race and chase times.

run as fast as you can while converting carbon dioxide into oxygen. A very useful technique used is to breathe in with your nose and out with your mouth, allowing relaxation on the lungs, heart, muscles. To try to make you go faster you might also want to try to move your arms as fast as you can since your legs tend to follow up your arms; therefore if your arms are moving fast; so are your legs. In the end, remember to complete the entire 100m and to never give up.
