It depends on your mode of practice, location, population Demographics, cost of goods, services offered, etc....
You could make anywhere from $50,000 a year at a corporate firm if you have limited experience, all the way up to owning your own multimillion dollar high volume practice. There is a large amount of variability in optometry because different people want different things from their careers.
