Depends on how good and how experienced the rider is to make a profit off racing...When you enter a race you have to pay, which means that you will only profit if you win. If you are one of those people that has a dream to ride professional MX, then follow it and see where it takes you. However, it is a tall order and a difficult goal to achieve. MX is not easy but is a great sport to represent.
