The 200m hurdle distances are:
20 meters to the first
35 meters between each hurdle
40 meters from the last hurdle to the finish line
So just start at the normal 200m start line and run the second half of a 400m hurdles race.
This race is generally only contested in Youth and Masters competitions with a few exceptions.
The old Olympic 200 hurdles was the 220 yard low-hurdles:
20 yd to the first hurdle
20 yd between hurdles
20 yd from the last hurdle to the finish
This race was contested over low hurdles (30") and was dropped from the the Olympic roster after the 1904 Olympics.
In the 400 meter hurdle, there are 10 hurdles. Each hurdle is 30" tall with 35m between them. There is a 45m distance before the first hurdle and a 40m distance to the finish line from the last hurdle.
The distance between 300 Hurdles (or 400 Hurdles) is 35 meters. The distance to the first hurdle (in high school races) is 45 meters and 10 meters from the last (8th) hurdle to the finish line. This is exactly the same as the first 300 meters of a 400 Hurdle race, though the relative position on the track is moved to finish at the common finish line. The hurdles in a 100 Meter hurdle race are 8.5 meters apart. That is slightly less than the 9.19 meters/10 yards of the men's 110 or 120 yard hurdle race. The distance to the first hurdle is 13 meters and the distance from the last hurdle to the finish is 10.5 meters. In the Womens' 100 Meter Hurdle Race and the Men's 110 Meter Hurdle Race, there are 10 hurdles. In the 300 Meter Hurdle Run, there are 8 hurdles. In the 400 Meter Hurdle Run, there are 10 hurdles.
In high school, the 400m hurdles race becomes the 300m hurdles, although some high school hurdlers also compete at the 400m level. There are ten hurdles in 100m, 110m and 400m hurdles races.
Women run 100m hurdles, men run 110m hurdles. The height of a hurdle in the women's 100mH is 33 inches (83.8cm).
For the 110m hurdles, the first hurdle is placed after a run up of 13.72m (45 ft) from the starting line. The next nine hurdles are set at a distance of 9.14m (30 ft) from each other, and the home stretch from the last hurdle to the finish line is 14.02m (46 ft) long.
Ten. The first hurdle is 45 meters from the start. The following nine hurdles are evenly spaced, 35 meters apart, and there is 40 meters from the last hurdle to the finish line.
There are exactly 10 hurdles in the 100m women's! roughly 8 steps to the first hurdle from the starting point, and 3-5 steps in between each hurdle, depending on if you're in junior varsity or varsity (from a high school POV)
